A simple minded Sagittarius was a clown
He tippy-toed and squeezed his nose

He wiggled into Harvard, had a friend of a friend
His uncles brothers wife

She sent him letters weekly

The law had sent a notice to the door where he stayed
Awake at night, not sleepin right

He was much more afraid
Than he had ever been before the law came his way

He was wanted on the charge of second murder degree
An accident had led to death
He was there at the scene
They spotted him at the scene
Despite his pleas of innocence his hands were not clean

They put him in handcuffs hauled him off to the clink
He had his day before the judge
And brought the town to the brink
They were all at the brink
He spent some time behind closed bars, not as much as you’d think

Six years had come and gone and he was free as a bird
He read the bible daily
Had it down word for word
He had learned the good word
He was looking for a job to get him off of the curb.
